Public Teams, as the name of the feature implies, are teams of players that are publically available to join. They’ll allow Fallout 76 players to casually group up as necessary, whether it’s for casual questing or a specific goal. Joining and creating a Public Team is an easy and fast process that will hopefully make playing the game without a dedicated party a much better experience. Fallout 76’s next patch is set to release on January 14th. According to Bethesda, the patch will work towards correcting issues that have been reported by the community, alongside general performance and stability improvements. The patch will adjust Perks and weapons, fix issues with Challenges and quests, and close some exploits that have been making life in the wasteland difficult for honest players. Bethesda went on to reveal that another patch will be landing shortly after this one, with the company aiming for the end of January....

The new update is called patch 1.6.4.31 and was released earlier today and contains numerous bug fixes for various aspects of Fallout 76. Also, the patch notes for the new update were shared online and show all the bug fixes and the issues it addresses. While the latest Fallout 76 update wasn’t quite so sweeping, it did add one very nice feature that probably should have been in the game from the start: the ability to create multiple C.A.M.P.’s. Previously, players had to be very selective about where they placed a C.A.M.P., because it was the only one they had. It basically had to fulfill every function the player needed, as well as be as cosmetically appealing as they could muster....

As seen in the tweet below from the official Bethesda Game Studios Twitter account, the publisher and developer decided to pen a letter to Fallout 76 fans that not only thanks those who worked on the game and the fans ready to play it, but also promises new Vaults, Faction-based PvP, character respecing, and more is set for the future. However, the company didn’t provide a date as to when players should expect such features to arrive....

Since its surprise E3 night launch, Fallout Shelter has proven to be a great success for Bethesda in the mobile space, and as such, the game is being expanded to feature additional content. Namely, a brand new Legendary Dweller has been added to the game in the form of Preston Garvey, and players can acquire him starting right now. For those unaware, Preston Garvey is a character from the upcoming Fallout 4, associated with the in-game faction of the Commonwealth Minutemen....

This is according to Obsidian itself, which made the announcement on its forums. Obsidian made sure to note that its new game will not have microtransactions or loot boxes, and also spoke highly of its relationship with Private Division. Apparently Private Division has been “supportive” of Obsidian’s vision, and has given the studio creative freedom on the project. Unfortunately, Obsidian didn’t reveal any additional details on what its next RPG will be like....

Now, vault resident protagonists work well for the series. Their lack of experience living in the post-apocalyptic wasteland adds to the player’s unfamiliarity with the new environment. That said, the Chosen One of Fallout 2 and the Courier of Fallout: New Vegas prove that the alternative route works just as effectively. Though they’re different from their vault resident counterparts, they also open plenty of possibilities for upcoming Fallout titles....

Now with a fifth entry being officially announced, here’s hoping that Bethesda will give more details about Fallout 5 soon. However, given that the game won’t be coming until after The Elder Scrolls 6, which still has no signs of arriving any time soon, it’s hard to know exactly when the next Fallout game will be released or even at what development stage it’s currently at. In the meantime, there are some fans who still fondly remember the original entries, and one person has decided to put a more modern twist on a classic game....
