Fallout 76’s Fallout 1st gives active subscribers access to a wide variety of additional perks like private servers, a mobile survival tent, free monthly Atomic Shop items including the Atom currency itself, and a couple of bottomless resource containers. The paid items and subscription perks in Fallout 76 are completely optional, although some of the items have sparked players’ fear of introducing “pay-to-win” avenues into the game. Fallout 76 introduced gameplay-altering microtransactions in April with the addition of Repair Kits. A Repair Kit would, as the name implies, repair the condition of any single item to 100% condition and would consume the Repair Kit. Repair Kits could be purchased with real money in a similar fashion to how Scrap Kits are purchased. The introduction of Repair Kits resulted in controversy after Fallout 76 players grew frustrated with Bethesda both breaking a promise and influencing gameplay through monetization....

Despite its rocky launch, Bethesda continued to work on the game, improving Fallout 76 with new content and other updates. These include the introduction of NPCs, Daily Operations, and the Nuclear Winter battle royale mode. Next Tuesday’s update will not be quite that substantial but brings several much-needed fixes to Bethesda’s pseudo-MMO. “I am receiving every single one of your support tickets on my Bethesda account,” a player posting on Reddit has claimed. A majority of these tickets are said to contain images of the receipts players received when purchasing their copies of the Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition along with personal details (like their email and home addresses). These claims have been verified by a Reddit moderator who was given access to screen captures....

In ranking these Fallout titles, it’s important to consider their gameplay. This includes the game’s ease in navigation, its mechanics and interface, as well as whether they make for an enjoyable gaming experience. The overarching story should also be taken into account, and whether the title has replayability factor. Jose Albert Lizarraga Garcia, from the city of Indio, died two weeks ago after being arrested by law enforcement. Police said he was acting suspiciously when entering stores near Cardenas Market in Indio on January 22. Officers said Garcia required medical assistance after becoming aggressive and being physically restrained. A new video has led Garcia’s family to question his death. It shows Garcia wearing a spit hood, being pinned to the ground by police and shouting “I can’t breathe” several times....

Two-month-old Matilde was diagnosed six weeks after birth with type 1 spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a genetic condition that affects one in every 11,000 births, making muscles weaker and causing severe problems with movement. Babies with type 1 SMA have very weak and floppy arms and legs and have problems moving, eating and swallowing. Children born with the neurodegenerative disease most often die within the first few years of life, usually as a result of serious breathing difficulties....

Lilo and Stitch was a movie about how the titular characters met. For Lilo, all she wanted was to adopt a strange blue dog that could talk from the pound. Not only is Girl Plays Game’s Fallout 4 Columbia Settlement a perfect mini-encapsulation of all that can be found in BioShock Infinite, but she also went the extra mile for added authenticity and used the character creation system to make a nearly impeccable recreation of the former’s protagonist, Booker DeWitt. Truly, the only thing missing to make her achievement feel complete is an appearance from Elizabeth. While Girl Plays Game’s salute to Columbia seen in the video below is objectively beautiful, Fallout 4’s Settlement tools can only do so much, so she had to utilize a boatload of mods in order to bring the homage to life....

Even after seven years, there are those who have yet to try out this nuclear annihilated interpretation of Boston. Fortunately, Fallout 4 is coming to Xbox Series X/S and PS5 this year, so those who have not had a chance to check it out will be able to do so in what will likely be the best iteration of the game. The good thing about a series like Fallout is that it allows fans to not only play in their own style, but also share some of the things that bind the community together....
