For starters, Fallout 76’s next update will increase Stash sizes from 400 to 600, while also providing a fix for loot dropped by boss-level baddies so that they will yield between two to four items with quality on par to the enemy’s difficulty and level. What’s more is that Automatic weapon damage will get boosted by 20%, and a glitch causing enemy health bars and call-outs persisting on-screen even when not in view will be amended.

In addition to the aforementioned tweaks and fixes, Fallout 76’s Update 1.0.2.0 will also address problems at CAMP, as issues involving stored items not showing up and turrets disappearing after being destroyed ought to be corrected. Furthermore, the game will, in a sense, be getting an AFK notice that disconnects players from the server once they have been inactive for 10 minutes. On top of these changes, the patch will let players who die while over-encumbered respawn at their nearest discovered location instead of just back at Vault 76.

Finally, there will also be general stability improvements to Fallout 76’s game client and servers. The download size for the patch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be approximately 3GB and should only take up around 36MB on PC. Taking everything into consideration, it will be interesting to see whether or not Bethesda’s next patch for Fallout 76 will manage to successfully squash all of the most glaring bugs discovered thus far without causing any more in the process. After all, if the developer wasn’t on thin enough ice with its fan base after the title’s messy launch and the controversy stemming from Collector’s Edition owners receiving nylon bags instead of the advertised canvas bags, another blunder on Bethesda’s behalf could cause the in-game world to become an even emptier Wasteland.

Fallout 76 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
