RELATED: Fallout 76: How To Visit The Pitt

Instead of listing all of the locations, this guide will cover the best ways to collect as much of the material as possible. By traveling to these locations and looting them a few times, survivors in Fallout 76 will have all the Fiber they need to craft and upgrade at the workbench.

Updated on October 16th, 2022 by Hodey Johns: Given that players still seem to be searching for more pieces that make Ballistic Fibers, it felt like a good time to revisit this piece. The big three locations listed here all remain the best spots in the game to get a collection going. With a quick run, gamers should be able to get all they need in just a few minutes. Maps have been added in each section to guide players who don’t know every location by name yet. Also, a section has been added at the end which gives players some more locations to try out if they’re still short a few resources. Try the big three spots first, but if those don’t pan out, this at least should encourage players not to throw in the towel.

Camp McClintock

This area, which is just north of the Charleston Capitol has a total of six Military Ammo Bags, as well as two Military Duct Tape.

Both of these items can be broken down into Ballistic Fiber at the workbench. Each will yield a total of two Ballistic Fibers when scrapped. If the armor worn is particularly impractical, take it off to gather these items faster.

Fort Defiance

Fort Defiance has the most ammo bags of any location on the map. There are a total of nine bags in the general area, but sadly there is no Military Grade Duct Tape at the fort.

Follow the instructions below to collect each one. Gamers will want to enter through the blue double doors on the west side of the Fort. To gather all these bags, players will need to progress through the Fort Defiance mission in the storyline. Once inside, don some of that iconic armor, press the red button, and head into the restricted area.

The Thorn

Due north from Fort Defiance, there are three more ammo bags and one Military Duct tape.

At the camp, the first bag is inside the tent. In the center of the camp, there is yet another bag right next to the body. The final bag is on the bottom of a shelf on the northwest end of the camp. To the left of the shelf is the Military Duct Tape.

After looting all three of these locations, gamers will have 42 Ballistic Fiber. If that is not enough, there are three more bags and another piece of Military Duct Tape at Forward Station Alpha in the hills to the northeast. Finally, players should have enough Ballistic Fiber to meet all of their high-end crafting needs. Craft one of the most ideal builds and gear up for success!
