Known as the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch, this download aims to be a comprehensive bugfixing update that fixes hundreds of issues currently with the game. Long term, the patch aims to address every issue and bug with Fallout 4 not official resolved by the developers to the limits of the Creation Kit and community-developed tools in one easy to install update. As it stands now, the unofficial patch has already resolved many bugs related to gameplay, quests, NPCs, items, text, and placement issues within Fallout 4.
The ambitious project is actually a mod for Fallout 4, put together by the same group of people responsible for the similar bug patch for previous Bethesda titles like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Skyrim. Players interested in applying this mod will first need to ensure that their version of Fallout 4 is running update 1.5.
Bethesda has been heads down with downloadable content lately, releasing the fist pack known as Automatron in March and then the settlement building focused Wasteland Workshop earlier this month. While these packs are good additions to an already content rich game, many fans are anticipating Far Harbor which Betehsda has promised will introduce the largest landmass the developer has ever created in a post-release expansion.
While Bethesda has been diligent in removing major bugs from the game such as the game busting quest glitch found in Mosignor Plaza, it’s no secret that the game is still full of weird issues which may never get fixed due to developer time constraints. With recent games like The Division suffering major backlash for much of the bug and glitch trouble that has has arisen due to its first content update, Bethesda seems to continually get a free pass with their titles.
