Reddit user Squeasy-orange recently posted several images showing off their version of Fallout 4’s introductory Settlement, Sanctuary Hills. Normally when a Settlement is attacked in Fallout 4, Preston Garvey will call on players to defend the specific location, but Squeasy-orange’s Sanctuary Hills appears capable of protecting itself with an arsenal of weaponry and some capable NPCs like Mama Murphy and Marcy Long. Outside of keeping the area safe, these NPCs can relax by the pool, pass time away at the Saloon, or tinker in Squeasy-orange’s technology workshop.

Beyond the aforementioned Saloon and workshop, Squeasy-orange has also created an infirmary fittingly named Hill General Hospital, a general store called Wasteland Wares, a minimalist police station, and Atom Cats Station, which is decorated with vibrantly colorful power armor lined up side-by-side. While many of these buildings maintain the rustic feel that’s common across Fallout 4’s Boston commonwealth, Squeasy-orange’s Sanctuary Hills stands out as significantly cleaner and homey. This may be due to the symmetrical decor used in building up Sanctuary Hills, like flags, appropriate signage, TVs, plants, and lighting that keeps everything illuminated into the night.
Three useful buildings in Squeasy-orange’s Sanctuary Hills Settlement are the armory which includes many weapons alongside piles of ammo, a weightlifting room that features all of the machines and free weights that a Vault 111 survivor would need to keep fit, and a pool that’s enclosed by glass panels. Squeasy-orange’s image of the inside of Hill General Hospital not only shows a fully functional clinic, but an NPC also stands behind a counter like a doctor waiting for a patient. While each location in Squeasy-orange’s Sanctuary Hills is built to feel lived in, there are several signs between buildings pointing Fallout 4 players in the right direction.
According to Squeasy-orange, no mods were used in building up the Fallout 4 Settlement, and although the location has a high attention to detail, Squeasy-orange also stated that it causes stuttering. Many Fallout 4 fans have questioned Squeasy-orange and why they’re retiring from the game, and Squeasy-orange noted that it comes down to “college, work, life, etc.” Squeasy-orange also confirmed that their Fallout 4 save file reached 17 days played and that only about half was dedicated to building, recruiting, and gathering material.
Fallout 4 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
